Depth Charger is a DJ from Australia and describes his style of DJ-ing as being the reasoning behind his name!
He describes his style as having ‘depth to it and it just makes u want to go nuts, hence the charger part ‘. He’s played along-side international and Australian artists such as Bassnectar, RAZ, Neuron Compost, Reality Pixie, Mental Blank, TSA Beat, Sattle Battle, Vanghoul, Tom Cosm, Grouch, Hedonix, Urban Monkeys, Terrafractyl, Circuit Bent, Liquid, Lost Keys, Psyboriginal and Tristan Boyle.
Figuring life as being just too short , this DJ just goes for it!
Jester is based in Cape Town and first stepped onto the stage whilst living in the UK in 2002. He made a full switch to Psy trance upon his return to South Africa, having played more techno inspired beats in the UK.
His DJ set represents a sound that’s ‘full on underground, pounding and sometimes emotional’.
You can catch this young legend playing globally and locally. He’s signed as a DJ to Peak Records in Switzerland and Disasterpeace records.
DJ Kuntact from Portugal started playing Psy trance in 2002. He has escalated since then to be signed to his “dream label, the powerful 3D Vision records”.
A Psy trance globe-trotter, he plays the harder side of Psy and frequents International events like the Freedom Festival, Existence Festival, Psybertech Festival and the Sinergia Festival by Boom Crew & Quest4Goa. He’s also involved in the production side of event organizing with Moonblast Productions in Portugal.
His sets are jam-packed with dance floor killers as demonstrated at the Disasterpeace 2008 South African outdoor joined by Khopat.
Panayota was first introduced to trance in 1996 and in 2000 began his career playing at small parties locally.
His sound is heavily influenced by ‘full on melodic and progressive sounds’, also integrating South African styles, Dark psychedelic and Techno trance. He assists in organizing events in North India and Australia and his past and forth-coming gigs include sets in Israel and Europe.
His reputation stands for creating a ‘magical environment on the dance floor that moves the soul’.
Label owner dj Swine started his career in June 2001 with the launch of his first psychedelic adventure Psychosis productions. Since then he has gone from strength to strength in the South African psy scene being involved in companies such as Front Left Music, Lockdown, Basic Survival and now Disasterpeace records.
Swine’s latest adventure is compiling the new Disasterpeace compilation “When Pigs Fly” due for release in early 2010.
